The scenic beauty of Alaska and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The beauty     of the Alaska Range is a great plus for this river. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Denali Road to Teklanika River section is the only paddling section along Sanctuary River. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good places for that around here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: At Sanctuary River all through the summertime highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 0's with winter lows in the-20's overnight here at Sanctuary River.
