The Cassiar Highway Bridge to Telegraph Creek stretch of Stikine River is 60 miles long and is a class V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Alaska is often more difficult than elsewhere,
    so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, perfect for a real wilderness
adventure. The natural beauty of Alaska and the cool fresh water have people coming here. There are no other stretches to paddle along Stikine River than the Cassiar Highway Bridge to Telegraph Creek stretch. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.

Briefly about the general area:
On a glorious day at Stikine River you can take a hike along the Highbush Lake Trail. At Stikine River during the days of summer highs are in
 
the 60's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Stikine River are in the 20's. Stikine River is a relatively wet place mostly with a good deal of rainfall; through the month of October you get the most rain around here while June is mostly the driest month.
