The nature scenery of Denali Borough and the water flowing gracefully down Teklanika River make the trip here worthwhile. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater paddling here in the Alaska Range is a great experience. The Teklanika Campground to Stampede Road section is the only paddling section     along Teklanika River. There's camping available near Teklanika River. The average Alaska whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so pack your camp stove.
