Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Teklanika River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Teklanika Campground to Stampede Road stretch is the only one. The natural beauty of Denali Borough and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. For all     you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. When you're paddling down a Alaska Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near.
