This stretch of Tiekel River in Alaska is 16 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. are pretty good. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Stuart Creek at Richardson Highway to Copper River section is one of them. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll
have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. The beauty of the Chugach Mountains is a great plus for this river.
