This stretch of Tsina River in Valdez-Cordova Census Area Borough is 7.2 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Alaska scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There's camping available near Tsina River. On this section you do get
some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this
state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Whitewater paddling here in the Chugach Mountains is a great experience.
