If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The scenic beauty of Alaska and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. The Tsina Roadhouse on Richardson Highway to Richardson Highway below Tsina Canyon section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better
reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater paddling here in the Chugach Mountains is a great experience. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the
great campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This section of Tsina River in Alaska is 7.2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip.
