Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling rivers. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff. The beautiful Chugach Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a     while have people coming from far and near. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Twentymile River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Carmen Lake to Turnagain Arm stretch is the only one. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
