The beautiful scenery of Apache County and the water flowing gracefully down Black River - & East Fork make the trip here worthwhile. The Below Wildcat Point stretch is the only paddling stretch along Black River - & East Fork. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arizona are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. A stretch this     long is of course too much for a one day trip, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. When you're paddling down a Mogollon Rim Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too.
