The average Arizona whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The nature scenery of Greenlee County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. Now this is a pretty long section, so better bring your camping gear along. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers.
There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Blue River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Blue Crossing to Forest Service Road 475 stretch

Briefly about the general area: At Blue River during the summer highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's, and all through the
dark hours in the wintertime at Blue River temperatures plunge to the 10's. Blue River gets very little rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and May meanwhile is the driest month. Coming to this river is always a good idea. Near Blue River you discover the Blue
River One Hundred One Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. And that's not all there is to do here in the San Francisco Mountains. A tremendous location in the vicinity of Blue River is Ladrone Canyon, and Ladron Spring is a striking site to check out while you're at Blue River.
Going for a hike on the Stray Horse Canyon Trail Twenty is always a fine adventure, and Horsehead Spring is always fun to check out.
