There are no other sections to paddle along Colorado River than the Lees Ferry to Lake Mead section. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. This stretch of Colorado River is 230     miles long and has been rated as a class I-V section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Arizona scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Colorado River make the trip here worthwhile. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: Around Colorado River you don’t get a lot of rain; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. A short tour to Fishtail Rapids is always worthwhile; Keyhole Natural Bridge is something you shouldn't miss if you're here. A fine site to take a look at in the vicinity of Colorado River is Hundred and Forty Mile Canyon. All through the summer months highs here at Colorado River get into the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
