Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Eagle Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Along Forest Service Road 217 section is the only one. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your sleeping bag. Eagle Creek is a reasonably wet place typically with much precipitation; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is May.
