A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. Briefly about the general area: At East Verde River throughout the summertime months highs are in the 100's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. East Verde River is a location that is relatively dry usually; the month with most of the rain is August; May on the other hand is the driest.
