The beautiful scenery of Arizona and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're coming from Flagstaff it's not a     long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Now this is a pretty long section, so it looks like you will be camping out. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Arizona you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: Good hiking is available along the Blue Springs Trail. During the warm months, highs generally are in the 70's at Little Colorado River. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Little Colorado River.
