The scenic beauty of Coconino County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Flagstaff, as you can see on the road map further down. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might have to settle for a hotel
a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. Getting a good workout and
just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. This section of Little Colorado River in Arizona is 51 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V+ section. There are no other stretches to paddle along Little Colorado River than the Cameron to Colorado River stretch. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arizona is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy.

a pretty dry location; during January this area sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is June. For the duration of the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Little Colorado River; the night is a tad cooler of course, frequently in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Little Colorado River.
