Arizona whitewater - Oak Creek, Coconino/ Yavapai County

Coconino/ Yavapai county, Pump Stabove Sedona Cornville to Verde River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

Is there a paddling club in the Sedona/Cottonwood area? Says Chris

The nature scenery of Coconino/ Yavapai County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. There are many good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The average Arizona whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions
for lots of people. There's camping available near Oak Creek. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling places.
