Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arizona is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is the only paddling section along Salt River. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Getting a good workout and spending     some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 100's to Salt River. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 70's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Salt River.
