There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at San Francisco River are pretty good. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so it looks like you will be camping out. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the San Francisco Mountains has to offer. A short visit to The Hole is always worthwhile. It is very arid here at San Francisco River usually; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is April.

River, high temperatures usually reach the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 70's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at San Francisco River are in the 30's. Hickey Spring is a striking place to take a look at while you're at San Francisco River, and you could always explore Bull Canyon.
