You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.     This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Briefly about the general area: During the summertime months here at Verde River, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Verde River overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. A spree to Squaw Peak Canyon is always fun, and Montezuma Castle National Monument is one of the destinations that are splendid to explore nearby.
