There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Clarkdale to Camp Verde section is just one of many. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Briefly about the general area: The warmest time of the year at Verde River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's; overnight lows at Verde River during the wintertime generally drop into the 30's. At Verde River you don’t see much precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
