Yavapai
county,
Clarkdale to Camp Verde section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
The wonderful Arizona scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Prescott, as you can see on the road map further down. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Arizona you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The campgrounds here at Verde River are pretty good. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. Some people prefer whitewater rafting
and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Clarkdale to Camp Verde section is
just one of them. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
