The average Arizona whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The wonderful Yavapai County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Verde River will make you feel great. Briefly about the general area: You might want to pay a visit to Wilbur Canyon if you're here at Verde River. All through the summertime at Verde River highs are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Verde River dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
