Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Virgin River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Virgin River Gorge section is the only one. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The scenic
beauty of -blank- County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
Briefly about the general area: Not much precipitation falls here at Virgin River; August is when you get the most rain here while June
is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Virgin River usually tend to be in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Virgin River.
