  The put-in is not too far from Hot Springs, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of Perry County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch of Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary in Perry County is 4.5 miles long and is a class II+(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is a pretty decent
    length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The NFR 45 to NFR 86 section is the only paddling section along Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary. Whitewater rafting
and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. The beautiful Ouachita Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling places.
