The beautiful scenery of Newton County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. This is the only paddling section along Beech Creek. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon.     This stretch of Beech Creek is 7.5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The campgrounds here at Beech Creek are pretty good. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: A great site near Beech Creek is Panther Camp Hollow. Beech Creek sees pretty   high levels of precipitation; all through May this area sees the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Beech Creek while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Beech Creek dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
