CLASS III-V 7.5 miles

The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Harrison, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The nature scenery of Arkansas and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The Cave MtNorth Road to Highway 21 stretch of Beech Creek is 7.5 miles long and
has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. The beauty of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short
distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Cave MtNorth Road to Highway 21 stretch is the only paddling stretch along Beech Creek. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came.
