The starting location is a reasonable drive from Searcy, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The Low water bridge to Old Iron Bridge stretch of Big Creek in Arkansas is 15 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I section. This
section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. The natural beauty of Cleburne County and the water flowing gracefully
down Big Creek beats anything. Big Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Low water bridge to Old Iron Bridge section is the only one. Whitewater paddling here in the Boston Mountains is a great experience. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
