If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. The Helton's Farm to Long Pool Campground stretch of Big Piney Creek in Pope County is 8.4 miles long and it is classified as a class II+(III) section by American Whitewater. The nature
scenery of Arkansas and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend
some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Helton's Farm to Long Pool Campground stretch is just one

Briefly about the general area: Wainscott Bottom is an attention-grabbing site to stop by while at Big Piney Creek, and a pleasant spot to have a look at close by is Cedar Hollow. All the water falling down from the sky makes Big Piney Creek a wet place; most
of the rain falls through May; January meanwhile is the driest month. This spot, the Boston Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. A tour to Felkins Point close to Big Piney Creek is always a delightful idea, and Big Piney Creek is right by the Grassy Point Trail. This
river is always fun. For the duration of the warm months here at Big Piney Creek, high temperatures typically get into the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's; nighttime lows at Big Piney Creek all through the winter typically sink into the 20's.
