The beautiful scenery of Arkansas and the water flowing gracefully down Blocker Creek make the trip here worthwhile. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and     kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The beauty of the Ouachita Mountains is a great plus for this river. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Blocker Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Along Highway 369 to Little Missouri below Highway 84 section is the only one. Briefly about the general area: During the warm months highs here at Blocker Creek get into the 90's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs   in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Blocker Creek drop into the 20's. Blocker Creek is a rather wet place generally with a great deal of rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
