The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the cool fresh water beats anything. This section of Bobtail Creek in Searcy County is 2.75 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV+ section of whitewater. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no
other sections to paddle along Bobtail Creek than the FS 1219A to Richland Creek section. This section is quite short so no need to bring snacks. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The campgrounds
here at Bobtail Creek are pretty good. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. The put-in location is a short drive from Harrison, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.

in the 20's for Bobtail Creek. Short Bobtail Hollow is near Bobtail Creek and is beyond doubt a pleasant location to take a look at, and going for a hike along the Hideout Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
