The nature scenery of Arkansas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more     forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The Headwaters to Buffalo River stretch is the only paddling stretch along Boen Gulf Branch. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
