The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This section of Boulder Creek in Arkansas is 2.6 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V+ section. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often more forgiving than in other states, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The put-in is not too far from Harrison, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page.
Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. When you're paddling down a Boston Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This is a short paddling
stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is the only paddling section along Boulder Creek.
