Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas are easier than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. When you're paddling down a Boston Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The wonderful Newton County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves     reasons enough to come here to paddle. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. This is the only paddling section along Broadwater Hollow. This stretch is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: This site, the Boston Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things.   The warmest time of the year at Broadwater Hollow arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Broadwater Hollow night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. A good deal of precipitation falls at Broadwater Hollow; all through May this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is January. Broadwater Hollow is in close proximity to Broadwater Hollow and is a fine site, and don't forget to have a look at Queen Point while you're here.
