The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. Great exercise and just hanging
out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled
as well. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting point is not too far from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery.
Briefly about the general area: Little Pine Hollow is a wonderful site to spend some time at. All the water falling down from the sky makes Buffalo River a wet place; during May this area sees the most
rain, and January is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Buffalo River typically tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Buffalo River.
