The nature scenery of Newton County and the water flowing gracefully down Buffalo River attract people from near and far. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The wild scenery of the Boston
Mountains is great. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
