The starting location is a reasonable drive from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. The Woolum to Tyler Bend stretch of Buffalo River in Searcy County is 15.3 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here.
The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your sleeping bag. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The scenic beauty of Searcy County and the water flowing gracefully
down Buffalo River beats anything. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Woolum to Tyler Bend stretch is just one of them. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here.

first checking out Red Bluff. Through the summertime months at Buffalo River temperatures are usually in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Buffalo River tend to be in the 20's.
