On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. The nature scenery of Searcy County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Getting your paddling muscles activated
and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Tyler Bend to Gilbert stretch is just one of many. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers

Briefly about the general area: No need to travel far to pop by attention-grabbing stuff like Lane Bend; don't forget to take a look at Buck Point while you're here. And
that's not everything there is to do here in the Boston Mountains. Interesting geology is available here; Tyler Bend is close to Buffalo River, and Buffalo River is close to Goodhue Hollow which is beyond doubt worth a visit. Buffalo River sees pretty high levels of rain; the
month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is January. This river is so wonderful.
