CLASS I-II     29 miles
The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. This section of Caddo River is 29 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will
have you coming back for more. The Norman to Amity stretch is the only paddling stretch along Caddo River. The river winds through the Ouachita Mountains and you get great scenery. The campgrounds here at Caddo River are pretty good. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if
you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here.
