This section of Cadron Creek in Arkansas is 4.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I(III) section. The Pinnacle Springs to Highway 65 stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. Whitewater paddling here in the Boston Mountains is a great experience. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here.
If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might
end up sleeping in your car.
Briefly about the general area: If you're here, you might as well stop by Pinnacle Point Gap. Cadron Creek sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; January on the other hand is the driest.
For the duration of the summer months at Cadron Creek temperatures are generally in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Cadron Creek temperatures drop to the 20's.
