  The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There's camping available near Camp/Flat Creek. Some people
    prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is wonderful. Camp/Flat Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Polk County Road 33 to Cossatot River stretch is the only one.
You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Polk County Road 33 to Cossatot River section of Camp/Flat Creek is 4.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III+ section.

Briefly about the general area:
Bradley Gap is near Camp/Flat Creek and is positively a wonderful site to have a look at. For the duration of the summer here at Camp/Flat Creek, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. All through the
 
moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Camp/Flat Creek fall into the 20's.
Camp/Flat Creek gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months is January.
