If you're coming from Russellville it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The nature scenery of Arkansas and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few     times. The Petit Jean St. Park section is the only paddling section along Cedar Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near.
