If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. This is the only paddling stretch along Cedar Creek. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or     kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The nature scenery of Arkansas and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Cedar Creek without first paying a visit to Cedar Falls. For the duration of the long summer days at Cedar Creek temperatures are usually in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Cedar Creek dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. All the water falling down from   the sky makes Cedar Creek a wet spot; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
