The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the water flowing gracefully down Cedar Creek have people coming here. There's camping available near Cedar Creek. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more.
This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. The Confluence to Rudy stretch of Cedar Creek
is 7.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Confluence to Rudy section is one of them. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.
Briefly about the general area: For the duration of the long summer days here at Cedar Creek, high temperatures commonly reach the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the
40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Cedar Creek sink into the 20's. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Oliver Springs. Cedar Creek sees pretty high levels of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here while January is ordinarily the driest month.
