This section of Cedar Creek in Crawford County is 7.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. Whitewater paddling here in the Boston Mountains is a great experience. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then     no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. The Confluence to Rudy stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The wonderful Crawford County scenery and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Briefly about the general area: All through the long summer days at Cedar Creek highs are regularly in the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. Through the wintertime   this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Cedar Creek during the winter typically fall into the 20's. Oliver Springs is always fun to check out. The high level of rainfall makes Cedar Creek a rather wet place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is typically the driest month.
