The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often more forgiving than in other states, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. This section of Cedar Creek - East Fork is 2.8 miles long and has been rated as a class II+ section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. You might have
to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful Boston Mountains scenery is an added bonus. You might be into whitewater
rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The natural beauty of Crawford County and the water flowing gracefully down Cedar Creek - East Fork are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over.
