The beautiful scenery of Montgomery County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better     reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Crooked Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the NFR 43 to Little Missouri stretch is the only one. This is a short paddling stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The beauty of the Ouachita Mountains is a great plus for this river.
