The natural beauty of Arkansas and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas are easier than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. There are no other stretches to paddle along Fall Creek than the Strickler to Lee Creek stretch. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels
nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you're coming from Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The beauty
of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. The Strickler to Lee Creek stretch of Fall Creek is 12 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
Briefly about the general area: Have a great hiking adventure along the Butterfield Hiking Trail. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Fall
Creek get into the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Fall Creek sink into the 20's. Fall Creek gets a good deal of water; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is January.
