This stretch of Falls Branch in Newton County is 9 miles long and has been rated as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. When you're paddling down a Boston Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. for that around here. If you're coming from Harrison it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. The nature scenery of Arkansas and the sparkling of the
| sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Tarlton Flats to NFS Road 1200 Close to Bass stretch is the only paddling stretch along Falls Branch. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.

pretty wet place typically with a good deal of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. Near Falls Branch you find the Hideout Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and the George Mountain towers over Falls Branch.
Summer brings
highs in the 80's to Falls Branch, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Falls Branch nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Boston Mountains. A magnificent place close to Falls Branch is Rock House Hollow.
