The starting location is a reasonable drive from Harrison, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch of Falls Branch is 9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. When you're paddling down a Boston Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room
before you come because it is a very popular destination. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The beautiful scenery of Arkansas and the beautiful way the water current
moves down the stream will make you feel great. There are no other sections to paddle along Falls Branch than the Tarlton Flats to NFS Road 1200 Close to Bass section. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip.

of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Falls Branch all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and during the
dark hours in the wintertime at Falls Branch temperatures descend to the 20's. And that's not all there is to do here in the Boston Mountains. The major characteristic in the neighborhood is the George Mountain. While staying at Falls Branch you could always look at Rock House Hollow; nearby you locate the Hideout Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.
