I don't know where you are from, but you obviously don't know the best way to run Frog Bayou. It is not by raft. An open canoe is best. Kayaks are fine. But this is not the Rocky Mountain West and rafts are too big for these Ozark great creeks like Frog Bayou. Solo or tandem open canoes rule. Says J. P. Bell

the page with more info on that. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers
here are good for beginners. The nature scenery of Arkansas and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The beauty of the Boston Mountains is a great plus for this river. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. There's camping available near Frog Bayou. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system,
there are a few others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers.
Briefly about the general area: For the duration of the summertime months, highs usually are in the 90's at Frog Bayou,
and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Frog Bayou descend into the 20's. Frog Bayou is a reasonably wet place typically with a large amount of rain; all through May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is January.
