  The wonderful Crawford County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you're coming from Fort Smith it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The Lancaster Bridge to Rudy section of Frog Bayou is 8 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. There are some good hotels near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whether you're whitewater
    rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Lancaster Bridge to Rudy section is one of them. Getting your paddling muscles activated
and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are less demanding. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
