The natural beauty of Crawford County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Boston Mountains scenery is wonderful. If you've     been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. Lodging is available near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. Briefly about the general area: The high level of rain makes Frog Bayou a rather wet place; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. Near Frog Bayou you locate Bonita Hollow which is a pleasant place to stop at. The warmest time   of the year brings highs in the 90's to Frog Bayou while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Frog Bayou.
