The wonderful Arkansas scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is the only paddling stretch along Graves Creek. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arkansas is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing     to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This section of Graves Creek in Arkansas is 1.9 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III+(IV) section. Briefly about the general area: Felkins Point is in the vicinity and always tremendous to stop at, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Grassy Point Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in   the 90's to Graves Creek with overnight lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Graves Creek. Just can't get enough of the Boston Mountains. A large amount of rain falls at Graves Creek; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is when it's the driest.
