This section of Gutter Rock Creek is 3 miles long and is a class III+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Arkansas and the playfulness of the water beats anything. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before     you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The FR 1631C to Robert Hill Road section is the only paddling section along Gutter Rock Creek. This section is quite short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Brown Spring is an inspiring place to stop by while you're here, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Magazine Hiking Trail.
