The scenic beauty of Arkansas and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas are easier than the national norm, so don't forget that rivers here are less demanding. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Some people prefer whitewater     rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Highway 92 to Cove Creek stretch is the only paddling stretch along Hogan's Creek. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: All through the long summer days here at Hogan's Creek, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Hogan's Creek drop into the 20's.
