This stretch of Hogan's Creek is 4.5 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people.     Hogan's Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Highway 92 to Cove Creek stretch is the only one. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often more forgiving than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The river winds through the Boston Mountains and you get great scenery. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the summer here at Hogan's Creek, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are   generally in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Hogan's Creek temperatures dip to the 20's. A lot of precipitation falls at Hogan's Creek; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest.
