The wonderful Franklin County scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. Hurricane Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the ShoReservoir Lake to Highway 215 stretch is the only one. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There's camping available
near Hurricane Creek. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots
of good spots for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Arkansas is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The Boston Mountains scenery is wonderful.
