This section of Illinois River in Washington and Benton County is 13.7 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time,
so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. The Robinson Road to Highway 16 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might
end up sleeping in your car. The scenic beauty of Washington and Benton County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The beautiful Ozarks scenery is an added bonus. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.

A journey to Chambers Spring will fill your spirit with good feelings. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Illinois River get into the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows
in the 20's overnight here at Illinois River. Illinois River gets much water; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most while January is generally the driest month. A great spot to check out close to Illinois River is Chambers Hollow, and the Weddington Hiking Trail offers hiking at its best.
