This section of Illinois Bayou - East Fork in Pope County is 10 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Arkansas are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The natural beauty of Pope County and the water flowing gracefully down Illinois Bayou - East Fork have people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll
have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the FS Road 1301 to Bayou
