The Dripping Springs to Highway 74 section of Kings River in Arkansas is 11 miles long and is a class III+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Kings River are pretty good. Getting your paddling muscles activated     and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The wild scenery of the Boston Mountains is great. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Briefly about the general area: The high level of rainfall makes Kings River a reasonably wet location; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is the month with the least moisture. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Kings River. Through the   moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's.
