  The starting location is a reasonable drive from Harrison, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wonderful Madison County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Kings River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The average Arkansas whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a large
    number of rivers in this state are quite easy. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. This section of Kings River is 11 miles long and is according to American Whitewater
a class III+ section of whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. When you're paddling down a Boston Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. This river  
system has a few good paddling stretches and the Dripping Springs to Highway 74 section is one of them. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people.

Briefly about the general area:
A good location in close proximity to Kings River is Flat Rock Hollow, and if you're stopping by from Witter, you won't be the only one. So much amusing stuff in the Boston Mountains, just extraordinary. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Kings River called the Ozark Highlands Trail. A lot of precipitation falls at Kings River.
