Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The river winds through     the Ozarks and you get great scenery. The scenic beauty of Madison Carroll County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. Briefly about the general area: Kings River is in close proximity to Waterfall Hollow which is unquestionably worth checking out. High temperatures at Kings River through the summer are in the 80's, and   the night is a little cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Kings River tend to be in the 10's. Kings River sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls throughout June, and the driest month is January.
