CLASS I-II     67 miles
This section of Kings River in Arkansas is 67 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Arkansas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The campgrounds here at Kings River are pretty good. The wonderful Madison Carroll County scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Highway 74 to Missouri 86 section is one of them. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make
reservations in advance you're all set. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so better bring your camping gear along. The river winds through the Ozarks and you get great scenery. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.

Briefly about the general area:
